Default call river based on pot odds? (NL200)

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

SB: $43.75
BB: $53.20
UTG: $202.40
MP: $221.00
CO: $190.15
Hero (BTN): $299.70

Reads: villain is new to the table - no stats. he posted the big blind out of turn when he sat so i assume he is not very good (might be wrong of course).

Preflop: Hero is dealt Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (6 Players)
UTG calls $2.00, 2 folds, Hero raises to $9.00, 2 folds, UTG calls $7.00

Flop: ($21) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $14.00, UTG raises to $32.00, Hero calls $18.00

i called his check-raise because i didn't give him credit for a real hand (would he check-raise trips?). i put him on a flush-draw, maybe a small overpair against which i have six outs.

Turn: ($85) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $55.00, UTG calls $55.00

i valuebet because i guess he has a flush draw. and now i beat any overpair he might have had.

River: ($195) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
UTG bets all-in for $106.40

this sucks. but the pot odds are 2.8:1 and it's weekend - people bluff a lot, and possible flushes are a convenient spot to bluff...

can i call this?
should i just shove the turn?

Pot Size: $407.80 ($3 Rake)

you should have folded the flop, the turn bet is good, and the river is a fold

Why wouldnt he check-raise trips here?

Why cant he have 33 or 55 here?

You have six outs, but no odds to calls and if you hit your hand, you probably dont get paid enough. And if he has set or quads you are just losing more money.

Fold flop.

Bet more on the turn.

Fold river.

he can, but he must think that this flop completely missed me. unless i have a solid pocket pair i won't call this check-raise (usually). so it would probably be a bad idea of him to check-raise with a boat / quads.

i don't need outs to beat a flush draw.

Bet more on the turn.

if i bet more, i HAVE to call river, because of awesome pot odds.

i agree with the rest of your points.

QFT, why do you put villain on a flush draw if you have no real reads???? And if this is your read why do you not follow through????

I think this is a spot many SSNL players find themselves in, namely putting a lot of money in a pot vs unknowns in marginal spots.

Seriously, there is nothing wrong with folding the flop and finding a better place to get most of your stack in here...

Against an unknown who just sat down you are for more +EV to play ABC poker until you get some notes on him....we are using the notes feature right???

Fold flop.

Turn bet should be higher.

Easy fold on the river.
