Default Help me remove Stopzilla.

I've just inherited a laptop from a member of family and its full of useless programs. I've done my best to remove them all and remove the adware, but STOPzilla is totally resistant to any of my efforts.

I've tried uninstalling it with its own uninstall program; I've tried using add/remove programs; and I've tried using a program called cccleaner that was recommended to me.

Still it won't go.

Please help--it's putting me on massive tilt.

THanks. VPU

First thing I would do when receiving a laptop from someone else - even if it is family - FORMAT IT

Bingo. It's your best bet, especially since it was full of useless programs, some of which are obvious malware since you can't them them uninstalled. A full reformat/reinstall of the OS is in order here.
