EP is somewhat passive, reasonable player. MP is TAG with some oddball betting mixed in, may be less skilled then he looks but haven't seen enough hands to know for sure. SB is loose passive who likes to chase. Preflop: EP calls, EP1 calls, MP calls, Hero calls on the button with 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] , SB calls, BB checks. Flop: 6 handed, 6SB 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] SB checks, BB checks, EP bets, EP1 folds, MP raises, hero 3-bets, SB calls, BB folds, EP calls, MP calls Turn: 4 handed, 9BB 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] checked to hero, hero bets, SB calls, EP folds, MP calls River: 3 handed, 12BB 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] MP bets, hero calls, SB calls Comments on any streets? Assume I know the preflop call is marginal, I'm fine with a fold here most of the time. The table was pretty aggressive so having it limped to me was a pretty good sign of weak cards from the other players and position gave me a good shot at the pot if no one hit. How do people feel about the bet on the turn knowing there could be a fh out there? |

This seems pretty standard to me - nh.
The PF is right on the bottom range of limping hands on the button, but I think it's fine. I really like the flop 3-bet with the loosey-goosey guy behind you - good job resisting the urge to slowplay the nuts here. I think you definitely maximized value. Betting the turn is absolute must - fearing the boat here is just seeing monsters under the bed. Plus you've got no outs if someone got there, so if it goes bet, raise, 3-bet by the TAG, you can confidently fold. Going for the overcall on the river is good - it really looks like MP has a 6 so you are chopping with him and you might as well go for some more dead money in the pot. nh. |
