NL400 TPTK (on flop) ugly spot, i feel weak - line check

MP ($474.09) Button ($376.11) SB ($427.80) BB ($456.00) Hero ($533.20) Preflop: Hero is UTG with J[[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]], A[[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]]. Hero raises to $16</font>, MP calls $16, 3 folds</font>. Flop: ($38) 5[[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]], J[[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]], T[[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]] (2 players)</font> Hero bets $28</font>, MP calls $28. Turn: ($94) Q[[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]] (2 players)</font> Hero checks, MP bets $53.16</font>, Hero calls $53.16. River: ($200.32) 7[[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]] (2 players)</font> Hero checks, MP bets $166.55</font>, Hero folds. Final Pot: $366.87 I am a tightish side TAG. Haven't played a lot against the villain so don't really have any reads, seems like a solid TAG. I don't like this hand at all but don't really know how to play it. Ideas are appreciated or is this the only way. i know this is a very standard hand but still seems so weak to me, but don't know what else to do OOP. |

I think turn/river suck. As played it's prob a decent fold.

Re: NL400 TPTK (on flop) ugly spot, i feel weak - line check
Okay, Illuminati and others, so turn sucks then... Well, how should you play it against an unknown???
Should I have check-called the turn and bet a blocker on river?? I have a feeling that I can't play this situation profitably if i lead this turn.. am i wrong? Check-raising turn seems really suicidal to me, and that's the only real power play i can think of (and it's almost turning the hand into a bluff). Is it just a plain turn fold situation? Check-fold? |
