Default DVDR Drive Not Responding

My old rooommate thought it would be cool to put a bunch of ink on cd's before burning them so when it spun around in my drive it'd make a cool impression like tie dye. Now Im having a problem where it wont open. When I press the open button it doesnt seem like it even tries.

It used to get jam'ed and I'd get it eject with the help of a butterknife, but now its not even trying. The system stuff in control panel says that there is no problem with it or the driver, so Im assuming this is some kind of physical problem.

Does anyone have ideas on how to fix this, and if not is there some kind of burner you can buy and plug into a usb port?
