KK in reraised pot on awful non-ace board
Poker Tracker isn't working right now so I have to type this manually.
I've been running badly so I've been playing $50NL of Full Tilt. The game isn't nearly as aggressive as the two higher levels and hardly anyone 3-bets without a very serious hand. Villain is 18/6/3 over 120 hands. I haven't gotten out of line at the table. Full Tilt $50NL 6-max. Hero has $50, villain covers. Hero is dealt KK in the CO. 2 folds, hero raises to $2. Villain raises to $6, two folds, Hero calls. I hardly ever 4-bet in this situation unless villain is a maniac. If villain has AA, I'm going to get stacked anyway and if he has a worse hand, I want him to think his is best Flop ($14) Q J 4 rainbow I think I'm pretty much behind villain's entire range other than AK or a much less likely AQ/TT. I don't want to play a big pot, but it is almost inevitable given the 3-bet pf Hero checks, villain bets $7, Hero calls. Should I have lead out here? As played, do I c/r? Turn ($28) J I have $37 left. I decide to semi-bluff here and fold to a push Hero bets $18, villain calls River ($64): 7 (does not complete flush) Hero checks, Villain goes all-in for $19, Hero? I'm not happy about this hand and I know I didn't play it well, but I can't figure out where exactly I went wrong. I think the only hand I'm beating is AQ because there's no way AK plays for stacks on this board. |

I don't think this guy reraises AQ and I think you should call the flop and checkfold the turn.
semibluffing with 2 outs isnt really semibluffing. your turn lead is pretty bad. |

Re: KK in reraised pot on awful non-ace board
By semibluffing I meant representing a jack while still possibly having the best hand with an overpair...which is not actually a semibluff.

Re: KK in reraised pot on awful non-ace board
re-raise pf
as played you're committed, call. if you thought you were behind his range on the flop then what is the point in leading the turn? he either has a fh or quads and is pry calling w/ AA. he only folds hands that you are way ahead of and calls/raises with hands you are way behind. this is why it would have been best to re-raise pf, if he has AA then so be it. |

Re: KK in reraised pot on awful non-ace board
you are committed, i probably four bet preflop anyway, and these guys do three bet AQs occassionally especially against haters like us
