Default AK facing raise and reraise

Party Poker NL 25 6 max

MP has been reraising liberally and betting big postflop, but I've yet to see a showdown of his.

Relevant stacks:

UTG $5
MP $38.90
Hero (SB) $25.90

Dealt to hero A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

UTG raises to 0.50, MP raises to 2.60, 2 folds, Hero calls....

I flat called here as I expect the shorty to push with any sort of reasonable hand, and wanted to see MPs response.
He's obviously not folding due to odds, but wanted to see if he flat calls or comes over the top.

...BB folds, UTG raises to 5 all in, MP calls....

Flat call from MP. Either this is AA not wanting to scare me away, but given his liberal reraising I think I'm ahead of his range so... I shoved as lots of money in pot and I want to see all 5 OOP.

Did I play this OK? Better to shove over MPs initial reraise? I don't like calling MPs call of shorty's shove as I may end up folding the best hand on a non A/K flop if he makes a decent c-bet

This looks pretty good to me. While you don't like it, given the price you're getting there's nothing wrong with calling here, either. But pushing looks pretty good. I don't think that needs to be AA he's sporting there by any means.

Good spot to push against a loose player.

You could be against AA and with his stack you have to be weary, a flop of an A or a K could be money for you or bad news.

Last night I was all in with AK and flop came A blank blank and what did he have? AA.

With his stack though I put him on 1010 range, he doesn't want to be up against two opponents with his AA and I think he would reraise unless he is really tricky.. tricky will put him in a bad place though so he should rr with AA or KK he's already got money to win on the table
