Yes - You MUST have PT to datamine, or some other similar application to store the datamined hands.

I use Realtime HUD to datamine my observed hands, and Pokertracker to store only my played hands. This way my HUD has all my played hands, AND all my observed hands, without bogging down my PT DB.

I use Full Tilt Table Opener to open/close datamined tables. I have never used IdleMiner, as I assumed it was not a free program.

Is this a better response than in your last thread?

FYI - There is a likely an Idleminer thread here - where you could have asked this, or possibly found your answer without having to start a new thread.

i searched idleminer before i posted this and it came up with nothing -- ok one more question though. i got the idle miner to work and i can click start and all the fulltilt poker tables open up but it doesnt say it is saving any hands. im new with these programs and i am not quite sure how they work. if you could point me in the right direction or give me the name of someone who would be willing to help me i would appreciate it.

You dont have poker Tracker? You have to have Pokertracker or similar to save the hand histories. Idleminer, I assume, just opens and closes the tables. Pokertracker is what stores the hand histories. It is also what stores your own hand histories, for you to review your own play.

Poker Tracker - saves hand histories for later review , or use in a HUD
PAHUD or Realtime HUD - Heads Up display to show the datamined stats while playing.
Idleminer, Full tilt table opener, etc to open/close tables - so that PT can read the hand histories.

That is my limited knowledge of datamining.

No reason to buy IdleMiner. FTTO is better.

I think FTTO only works for cash games.

Pretty sure that Full Tilt Shortcuts, has a SNG Opener feature. I didnt play sng's when i used it. It is made by NanoChip - same guy that made FTTO
