Flop Nut Flush Draw in position against loose opponent
Relatively deep stacked in $2/5 NL (Live)
Seat 1 has $700 Seat 4 has $500 HERO has $550 Seat 1 is very loose/aggro. He's put his whole stack (and opponents stacks) all in several times when he has a draw or he has hit his pair and puts other opponents on draw. He also views me as a tight player. Seat 4 is pretty straightforward. My cards: A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Seat 4 raises to $25, I call on button, Seat 1 calls from SB. Flop is T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Seat 1 bets out $60. Seat 4 calls. I feel like I have the best hand with 2 draws and overcards. However, I'm reluctant to raise b/c I feel that doing so commits my whole stack to the hand based on Seat 1's previous actions post-flop. I really don't want to put $550 in on a flush draw even if it is to the nuts. Advice? |

call
if you wanna shove go nuts - and it'll be +EV I'm sure - but calling is probably more +EV |

Re: Flop Nut Flush Draw in position against loose opponent
I just raise and get it in vs. aggro player. Your draw will be pretty faceup if you do hit and your overs might be good. I probably raise and get it in somewhere to either a) isolate bad player or b) pick up all the dead money.

Re: Flop Nut Flush Draw in position against loose opponent
It does'nt sound like you are a seasoned 2/5 NL player and you should most likely be playing 1/2 NL.
1) Seat 1 has $700 Seat 4 has $500 HERO has $550 Your not playing deep with those stacks. 100BB stack, 110 BB stack, and 140 BB stack. 2) "I really don't want to put $550 in on a flush draw even if it is to the nuts." I think you can raise as it is EV+ or call and re-eval the turn. 3) "Advice?" It sounds like you are playing with scared money. Move bank to 1/2 NL and build up a big bankroll. -JB |

Re: Flop Nut Flush Draw in position against loose opponent
Just call, you have position and the pot is multiway. You're gutshot is always good also and your A might be good as well.
Raising isn't bad, but I think calling is more +EV. |

Re: Flop Nut Flush Draw in position against loose opponent
Joe Black, to clarify, this was a live home game - yeah, not a seasoned $2/5 player for sure, but the stakes were set at $2/5 and most people bought in for $1-200. So for the game we were 3 of the deeper stacks. Thanks for feedback all.
