satellite roi question
hi I searched but couldn't find an answer so here goes.
i've played a couple hundred low limit rebuy satellites (5r to the daily 50k) and have a ROI of about 20-25 (currently 22.86%), with winning a sat seat at 45%, which has been pretty constant, so maybe the main thing luckwise is how many rebuys I need to take? I honestly feel that I'm not running great, I usually get knocked out or have to rebuy when I'm allin as a 3:2 fav, or at least it seems that way, lol, when that pokerev program is ready and tourney enabled I guess I can know for sure how I'm running. but if I am running bad then I would figure 50% ROI would be a great ROI. what do you think? btw, for the daily 5r the max roi would be 55/15 (one rebuy, one addon, 55 is prize) /2 (itm 50%) = 180%, so i would figure 90% or maybe 100% would be the max practical roi, since you have to rebuy sometimes (sometimes a lot). |

Re: satellite roi question
oops I messed up.
roi (55-15)/15 = 266%, itm 50% so 133%, so max practical probably 60%, so a good roi probably 30%. what about the 3r and 11r to sunday million and warm up? anybody got a roi on those? |

Re: satellite roi question
[ QUOTE ]
Max possible roi in the 5R > 55 is close to 100-150% [/ QUOTE ] am i doing it right (55-15)/15, 266% if you win every sat with initial rebuy and addon? you think 50% itm is too low? 266% * 50%itm = 133% ROI absolute max. I would think with extra rebuys you sometimes need the absolute practical max would be around 75%? or am I not counting the extra rebuys right? I mean 25% ROI with avg. investment of 25$ is 6.25, and 6.25/15 is 41.6%. |

Re: satellite roi question
so I looked again, I'm averaging $5.09 profit per tourney, with average buyin+rebuys+fees of $20.12 per tourney, over 250ish tourneys.
so its 25% ROI in pokertracker. but did Hawklet mean 100-150% of 5$,? in which case I'm doing great probably maxing out prettty much. |

Re: satellite roi question
Here's my data on a freeze-out Stars sat:
In the $2.20 sat to the Sunday 100K ($11 win), a good result is to win 1 in 3 or an ROI of about 66%. I'm guessing less than 1 in 4 is below average. So if you're anywhere between 1 in 3 and 1 in 4, you're doing OK in these. Just a data point, I'm not sure how to directly apply here, but I figure the skill level of the fields are similar. |
