Default beat: cooking drunk

I dont remember why or when I decided to cook chicken wings last night. All I do remember is being woken at 6 am with smoke everywhere in my apartment and the smoke alarm going off. Wings had gelatinated into a paste.

Couple weeks ago I woke up to a loud beeping noise, took a few minutes before I realized that it was the timer on the oven. My roommate had pizza in there for >2 hours, it was nice and black. He was passed the [censored] out on the couch and not waking up even to loud yells

I once fell asleep while sterilizing baby bottles in my basement. The water cooked out of the pot and the plastic bottles started melting. The air was thick with plastic and I breathed in a ton of noxious fumes until I could get some ventilation going. Horrible.

anald,

Isn't it basically mandatory to be drunk if you're going to cook?
