Default whats the ideal percentage of playing hands in 6 handed limit

greetings again,

I have a question. I play alot of 6 handed limit holdem (5/10,8/16, 10/20) and was wondering what is the ideal percentage of hands to play? I was reviewing my poker tracker results for just over 7000 hands and I play about 34% of the time. I did an auto rate which basically said that im a LAP. Does the program take in account that I am playing 6 handed and not a full ring game?

whoa... what to say!

It depends on a million factors my good man.

If your average number of players was in fact close to 6, you are likely A) Running hot and playing a lot of good hands B) probably a bit too loose preflop

As a thought exercise, imagine a table where all opponents had a VPIP of 0. Clearly you should raise every hand. Now, as it happens, people play with different strategies. So there's a spectrum of frequencies you need to move around to win the most.

For more practical advice, get Stox's new book.
