Default Poker and AIM but No WWW?

Windows XP side of my Intel Macbook. AIM works fine. I can login and play at any poker site but Firefox and IE will not pull up any website. I have no anti-virus or secondary firewall installed. I've tried disabling Windows firewall but that does not change anything. Suggestions?

start/run/cmd

Type:

ipconfig /all

See if it lists anything under Domain Name Servers

What I have that mentions DNS:

Connection-specific DNS suffix : domain_name_not_set.invalid

DNS Servers: My router's IP address and then another IP address.

I was hoping it was a DNS issue....apparently it's not.

Sorry. I'll have to pass this off to the next poster.

Please read the FAQ and follow the steps there. Can you ping those websites you can't web to? Can you ping your own router? Can you web to your own router?

I just noticed this part. Does that mean that the same machine can get online from the Mac side? That certainly implies that it's no fault of your router.

Despite suigin's l33t-sp0k3n comments, your router wasn't all I wanted to test. I want to see if your machine can web to IP addresses, to see check DNS settings. I think AIM and Poker both go directly to IPs; I bet you can't ftp to domain names either, if you want to test that.

On the Mac side I can access Aim, poker sites and any website (basically I have no Internet problems). That is how I am posting now. On the Windows side I can access Aim and Poker. All websites in either Firefox and IE come up as Page cannot be displayed. iTunes also cannot access the radio if that matters. Sam, I will follow the steps in the FAQ because I have no clue what your talking about. Only if Windows was as good as Mac
