Re: I\'m really trying to stay calm right
i second that motion. Just keep getting it in ahead and keep in mind that they will lose and you will win over the long run if you play correctly. Dont give them odds to suckout either cause that is bad play on your part instead of theirs

Don't think you can avoid it, and don't waste your energy getting upset over something you can't control. |

Re: I\'m really trying to stay calm right
you need to accept that bad beats will happen and they keep the bad players in the game because they had a win and think they are brilliant at poker. After a string of beats I like to tell myself that good players take more beats than bad players and therefore Im awesome at poker
also, what is the point of this thread? if you posted this in a strat forum the thread would be locked so fast that your head will spin because it doesnt have any real content and appears to be just a whinge post (most strat forums have dedicated No Content threads especially for this and be careful about taking it to BBV because BBV has high standards when it comes to beats..seriously). |

BBV = bad beats and variance.
Mate your threads seem to be random blurtings |

Mate your threads seem to be random blurtings [/ QUOTE ] Contrary to what some people may tell you- there is an element of luck within the game. It will not always go your way. As long as you try to ensure that your decision is +EV, the outcome will be (on average, over the long run) +EV. End of story |

Re: I\'m really trying to stay calm right
I'm not even sure what a bad beat is, to be honest. If you're heads up, all in (both hands exposed), and there's one card that will beat you on the river, you'll see that one card about once in 44 times.
All you can do is get your chips in with the best hand. The rest is out of your control. So, either learn to stay calm, or find a different game. |
