Default Famous people at my work (part I)

For a few days this week we had the pleasure of recording Lynne Cheney, Dick "Voldemort" Cheney's wife, for audio-book part of her upcoming memoirs. For a few hours before the VP's wife arrived, Secret Service agents roamed the hallways and stairwells. (By the way, Secret Service agents are pretty nice guys to talk to and even have senses of humor. And guns.)
When the second lady arrived she walked passed my desk, gave me a cursory smile, and headed straight to the audio suites.
A few hours into her audio session, she decided that she wanted Starbucks coffee. But she actually wanted to go into Starbucks herself. So Lynne Cheney, four Secret Service agents, one assistant, the book producer and our audio engineer headed outside to Starbucks.
This next part I heard 2nd hand from the audio guy who went along with the VP entourage....
They walked down the sidewalk towards Starbucks in the usual protective formation. When it came time to cross the street, an agent would speak into his microphone and vans would suddenly appear, blocking traffic. They would cross the street and the vans would disapear again.
She spent most of her time actually in the studio so I didn't get a chance to interact with her. Apparently she isn't much fun to talk to however. In the words of the audio engineer: "She tells great stories, but when someone else started to talk she looked like she didn't care"
I did have a fun coversation with an agent who looked exactly like Jin from "Lost."
Overall I give Lynne Cheney 6/10 with most points coming from the Secret Service agents.

ps. I almost played the "Imperial March" Star Wars theme when they walked by, but common sense dictated restraint

That has to feel so awesome. I'd opt to go to Starbucks to get the coffee myself as well. I'd also walk to the corner to buy my own newspaper, go shopping myself and stand in line at the DMV to renew my own drivers license.

yeah i'd just go out and walk around or do whatever i could to make the black vans show up.

1) Lynee Chaney is not famous.
2) Does she know that her husband is an evil robot?
