Default You would think I know what to do here but.....

Random lame strategy post that another thread made me think of......

You open A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] OTB to 4BB, 25/15 calls from SB.

J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

SB checks, you bet 6BB, SB c/r to 22BB.

I am terrible in these spots w/ no read and I think I use it as an excuse to play weak/tight. I usually end up calling and folding to his 2/3 PSB on the turn.

Is call flop/fold turn your default line? % of time you 3-bet flop vs. call another street?

He has called in the blinds, often set mining. Other hands he could have, JQs etc. Are they really reraising? Have you given him a reason to be suspicious and want to 3bet you as he puts you on a bluff here? There is no flush draw, the straight draw is an unlikely holding. Heading towards a fold without specific ideas about him.

I usually don't fold.

His range is like strictly sets/bluff/weirdly played TP hands.

I doubt he flats pf with QQ+. 55/77 are likely I suppose, maybe 86s. But still, that is a pretty tight range. I call the flop c/r and either shove blank turns or just keep calling down.

reads also help and I guess I would consider folding the first time. But if I see him c/r-ing more frequently, I'll call down lighter.

We usually call, yes. But is it correct to fold the flop to an unknown?
