Another Triple Threat Check-Raise 10/20 Hand
Other thread titles considered include (but are not limited too)
1. That's what you get for playing junk 2. I didn't realize he was that strong As usual, my "amazing" (i.e. simplistic) thought process on the end Party Poker Limit Omaha Ring game Limit: $10/$20 7 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $492 UTG+1: $186 MP1: $134.59 CO: $278.13 Button: $588.58 SB: $457 HERO: $500 Pre-flop: (7 players) HERO is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3 folds, CO calls (1.5:1), 2 folds, 2 folds, HERO checks. I didn't realize my opponent was limping in with junk like 4/J/J/K or that he might actually have outs against me. Once again, I employed the check-raise, figuring he'd take a stab at the pot. I'm surprised he didn't three-bet me on the flop. I hit my turn card perfectly, although the river had me worried we'd split. So why bet on the river when there's now a low possible? Because my opponent might not have made his low, he may have been counterfietted (or in this instance, he might not have a low draw possible anyway) I hope the 15/30 games have people limping with 4/J/J/K as well when I'm ready for them. Thanks again to everyone for their hand postings and critiques in these forums. The material I've read can only get one so far, bouncing ideas and thought processes off the rest of you has been invaluable, and it's allowing me to not have to work full-time for "the man", so thanks again. One day I can dream of making WinterMute dough, but for now I'm happy where I'm at. |

nice play, but you're still a wee man [/ QUOTE ] Eh, I went easy on you suckas? Congrats on your heads-up match by the way. What could have been, had I crushed Myrtle with my 2's. That's alright, it was more fun watching the bustouts cry about how I was winning the cash game. |
