Default NL50 Playing AA like a wimp

Villian is pretty bad, passive, and predictable. He calls a lot pre-flop and folds to cbets if he missed. When he checks behind turn I'm pretty sure he is on a draw because he would bet with an 8 or an overpair. Unfortunately, by then it is to late to bet the turn.

My image is pretty strong.

Suggestions on how to play this better?

You can't check turn here, you have to bet and make him give you a reason to fold you hand. Make turn $14-16 and go from there. Had you bet turn and CO called I think it would be ok to check/call river.

checking the turn is spew. you dont know where you're and you give a freecard to draws...

he will definitly call the flop with more than just an 8..

Notice that villian has only $26 left on the turn, which pretty much commits me if I bet and he raises. So shouldn't the question be if I should push turn?

I don't know that the turn check is as bad as made out.

The part that bothers me is you've said he's a bad opponent. That is the only part that is for valuebetting.

On the other hand....
there are a lot of arguments for potcontrol here... the board is relatively coordinated. Betting the turn even half a pot leaves the villain with 1/2 a pot bet left. By betting the turn we're mostly committing ourselves anyways.

On the turn... any top pair is now crushing us. Any straight beats us. Basically we're hoping villain called with nothing more then middle or bottom pair or a flush draw.

Villains' stack size makes this awkward.

He could also have an overpair. Air is less likely given my reads (he wouldn't have called the cbet).
