I would call and shove a 3,7,8 river and c/f any other river. I think it's clear that this type of player will just about always have you beat and you're drawing to 10 outs. He will also always pay you off when you hit on the river.

this is basically a math problem. you're behind and have 7-10 outs (7 if you assume he has the straight, 10 if he could raise with 2pr/set). it's 106 more in a 234 pot with 229 behind. you might not always get paid off when you hit and i think 7 outs are more likely than 10. fold is probably best here.
