Default LO8 and small fluctuations

Just read the little blurb in zee's book. i've played about 10-15 sessions of 1/2 and 2/4 full ring. i know this game doesn't have much variance, but i really feel stuck in a rut. i don't go up or down more than 5-10 BB over 1 or 2 hour sessions and many times end up where I start. I read o8poker.com a lot and zee's book, but i feel like i'm just not getting anywhere, and all the playing time is for nothing. is this normal for the game? should i be changing up my play, attitude, etc.?

i play strong hands preflop, usually continue if i have good chances both ways (or just a lock on a low in a big multiway pot where many others are drawing to the 2nd or 3rd nuts). but i just can't seem to make any real progress, and feel like i'm wasting my time.

anyone else had this experience?

1/2 on Stars was my least profitable game
out of all the limits Ive played it, I
prefer to avoid it.

You should be able to make money at 2/4,
but perhaps you are just on a breakeven
stretch. Try getting in on some of the
6max games and see how your fluctations
do over a few thousands hands.

I found 100bb to be adequate.
I would want 120+ for the 6max.

I'm on party and i play .50-1. up tp 3-6 I always look for games where the average pots are in the 8-10 bb range i have found many times at 5-6pm pacific that the .50-1. tables are a gold mine and then later aroung 9pm pacific the 2-4 and 3-6 liven up quite a bit. Also the so called good players that wait for a2 and a3 like the rest of us its just a matter of knowing them and when they are betting make sure or hopefully sure u can 3/4 them. I've been doing great in these games, and if you understand the game as it appears u do, I imagine you will too. Good Luck hope to play with u sometime!!
