Leading the flop in $100r
Underolled on Stars, very drunk, very high and on Crypto tilt, I decided to play the $100r for the first time last night. Villain is new to the table and I have done nothing since he arrived.
Villain OTB t8925 Hero t5255 Villain raises 300 to 450 SB folds Hero raises 600 to 1050 Villain calls 600 *** FLOP *** 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Hero bets 900 into the 2200 or so pot. With what cards, if any, is this a good play? |

Re: Leading the flop in $100r
QQ/88 trying to lure him in to thinking he has fold equity? Or AA with the ace of spade so you think it is unlikely he has the flush draw.. Nothing else though..

Re: Leading the flop in $100r
If this is the thinking, why not AQ, KK too? Why wouldn't we be happy to induce and call a push with those hands too?

Re: Leading the flop in $100r
the problem with KK is if he has AsJs he will have odds to see a turn. AsQx is ok too probebly, but I would hate a call and the turn show a K. (I think KQ is in his range)

Re: Leading the flop in $100r
I'm not a big fan, expecially readless. If you have air or some crappy hand, I don't like it because the weak c-bet is likely to get called/raised by a random. If you have a monster (QQ+) I don't like it because villain is expecting a big resteal pf anyway. The small flop bet is only good if it's an aggressive player who doesn't know you too well.

You're forcing him to call with pretty much any hand he's raising pf, which includes plenty of suited cards. A flush draw is definitely possible and you're giving him odds. |

Re: Leading the flop in $100r
don't do against unknown, do against strong player that thinks you're trying to get to next street cheap. Do this with a hand you want allin with against an aggro/good opp
