CamStudio - Audio messing up

A few times the Audio just gets WAY ahead, and other times its super laggy and cracky and almost impossible to understand.

I have a feeling this happens when the computer is under too much stress to make the video smoothly, is this the case?

Your feeling is correct. This DOES happen when your computer is under too much stress.

So try to reduce the stress, for instance the area you record.

Before I upgraded my computer last time, I got constant lagging sound, unresponsive software when recording etc etc. After upgrading to a top-notch setup (quadcore, very fast RAM etc), I can record fullscreen, play 8 tables of poker, run PAHUD, Pokertracker, 3 AHK-scripts - AND cure cancer all at the same time. And my hardware never even breaks a sweat - and sound is always in perfect sync.

Options, Audio Options, Audio options for microphone.
