Default 85s big flop in limped pot

Villain is a decent TAG reg, 19/16/3.8 so pretty aggro postflop but not spewy. Thoughts on each street please, and a good bet size for the river (i assume we are leading?)

I think thats a good river line.

I dont really know what his range on the flop is. Seems like 2 pair is his range, so I think turn has to be a c/c.

I like a C/R AI on turn. His most likely hand out of bb in an unraised pot seems likely to be Kx, no?

I dont like the c/r on the turn because I think that gets him to fold hands like KT/KJ etc and he obviously calls with KQ blah blah.

First question is why no raise on the flop? Probably easiest way to play this hand and if the turn comes a heart he prob isn't going to continue further in the hand w/out a high heart or higher flush. so your implied odds arent brilliant. So yeah, I like raising flop again...

That said c/r turn isn't great so I think b3b gets a lot of value. He will call with JT, higher flush draws and most kings and a lot of those hands he will check turn behind. If he raises turn its gotta be a shove obv.

As played by the time you reach the river I think overbet shove is way too transparent esp against this player who prob can fold KQ so I'd make a block style bet and try to induce a bluff raise or atleast get some value out of the hand.

IF you 3bet the flop villain will probably fold anything but QK, but I also think he has QK.

I think turn is very sexy Fionn, even if it's probably extremely obvious from a theoretical viewpoint

His calling/shoving range vs a turn raise mostly beat bottom 2 except something like JhTh, and on the river when we can rule big combo draws out on the river, hence his range are comprised mostly of big made hands

ergo we shove our better made hand on the river yo

Agree that you its better than a c/r but I def feel he checks behind with a lot of hands that would call a turn bet and only bets with the better portion of his range, hence we are missing value in not betting.
