5-150 and 10-150 spread limit strategy
5-150 plays almost like a half-pot limit game, it tends to play rather big. These games are only spread at Casino Arizona from what I am aware of, there was an article written a few months ago in the 2+2 Magazine about how to play this style of game. In Arizona the maximum legal bet is $150, hence the hybrid game.
What forum should 5-150 strat posts live in? |

Re: 5-150 and 10-150 spread limit strategy
It certainly doesn't belong in limit, so I would just go ahead and say PL/NL, since it's like a pot limit game -- at least preflop and on the flop. On the turn you're only betting 1/3 the pot or so, but whatever; it's choosing your bet size.

I'm fine with having them in SSNL.

Pots can get huge, its far from a 1/2 game yet not as big as say a 5/5 NL. And the strategy considerations are different, I don't think the regulars in Full Ring NL would be equipped provide good advice (I could be wrong, thats why I posted this thread here). |

TT,
"Spread limit games are still played in the Bay Area as well, they dont have normal NL games either." Lucky Chances has a 10-200 spread limit game and a 10-10-20 NL game. |

Re: 5-150 and 10-150 spread limit strategy
The bet limit here in Deadwood is $100 so 2-10, 5-50 and 2-100 (called Deadwood NL) are popular. I don't think I've ever seen it online since Victoria's Poker went bust.
