Jacks hit boat on turn, taking a passive line?
I was talking about this hand with my buddy tonight, I'm not sure if the passive line I took with my jacks is the best one. Maybe I should be raising the turn? I thought he had a flush, maybe a single club. But then he checks river, how much should I bet?

Umm... I'd probably bet something like $13 and pray for a call/raise.

Re: Jacks hit boat on turn, taking a passive line?
You really need to build a pot here to play for stacks, he is representing a 9 and another club will destroy your action. Just raise it here, if he aint calling here he aint calling the river unless he filled up.
Id raise to around 15. |

Re: Jacks hit boat on turn, taking a passive line?
I'd raise to something like 15 on the turn as I cant see him folding anything your going to get action off here. If he calls and checks turn what i bet on the river depends on how willing he has been paying off big river bets in the past.
I usually favour an overbet here as if he likes his hand its probably a flush and he usually wont lay that down |
