Re: auto call or no? 777 flop
He can do this with every PP and you beat most, especially since he called PF, so yeah call.

"tight player who has only pushed strong hands"
so now that we've established the fact he doesn't have the 4th seven, what's left for him to have? AA, KK, or QQ? I don't think so. This is a snapcall for me, 88 or 99 are my best guesses |

Re: auto call or no? 777 flop
Auto call flop?
You say tight player who has only pushed strong hands. Will this guy just limp / call pre with Q's are better? You say tight player, is limp calling pre with connector that has 7 in it part of his standard play? If not, can he make the same move with 10's or lower? These are the kind of questions that need to be answered here. I think it's pretty safe to rule out A's through K's, but I see a lot of nitty tight players who just limp with Q's and J's. But I don't see nitty tight players limp call raises with A/7, 8/7 etc. This is very read dependent based upon the questions I asked. If the answer is no to limping with Q's, or limp calling raises with any kind of hand that would have a 7 in it, then I would put this guy on 10's - 8's. He may even have the other Jacks. |

Re: auto call or no? 777 flop
yeah cary those are some questions i asked myself.
1. he did reraise with a monster preflop on a previous hand, so i took aa-qq or even tens out of the equation 2. i didnt see him limp calling with a-7 maybe 87 tho.. that was hand i was worried about.. |

Re: auto call or no? 777 flop
8/7, 7/6 is your only worry then...but with your re raise on the flop, you are committed to calling his push.
Based upon what you said here, I think I have to get my money in the middle, if he has 8/7, God bless him. I will say this though, I raise more pre especially out of position, that way the hand pretty much plays itself. With 3 limpers and the SB waiting to complete, I make this around $1.40 to go. This gets more than 10% of the biggest stacks stack in the middle, making it that much harder to extract value out of set mining. If he calls, then you can really narrow his hand range, and I just don't think 8/7 would be in it. |

Re: auto call or no? 777 flop
This is fine, standard. Does not have QQ+. Either a seven or small pair, possibly even big overcards. You're way ahead more than behind I think.

Re: auto call or no? 777 flop
I surely cannot lay this down. Even if he were to shove the flop after my first bet I probably call here.

Re: auto call or no? 777 flop
i figured i had 95 percent of his range beat. he ended up having 88... which is more or less what i was thinking he had.
it was just too good to put down |
