Villain is LAG, 50/40 over relatively few hadns, but obviously LAG. Earlier he played this hand against me...
PokerStars 30/60 Hold'em (3 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx Preflop: Hero is BB with 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. 1 fold, SB completes, Hero checks. Onto the hand for discussion: PokerStars 30/60 Hold'em (3 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx Preflop: Hero is BB with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. 1 fold, SB raises, Hero calls. i dont know why you posted hand 1 other than to show that villain is capable of bluffing, but he played his hand fine. his river bet is fairly standard since you could just have Jx or something.
in hand 2 i think you definitely have to call a checkraise. he could easily have hit 2 pair and figures its probably good. 9:1 i think its a call. folding this hand on the river also seems really weak against a guy who is capable of abusing weakness. |

I think getting 9 to 1 against an opponent like this you have to call, the chance of him getting out of line is much higher than 1 in 9. Maybe Im missing something but I think this is relatively straight forward, 3 handed people make a lot of dumb moves and I think the options other than calling are both pretty bad.

against a LAG I call here. Im not excited about it tho
Not to be results oriented here, but how about a check behind? |

I think this is a fold. Sure, he is LAGGY, and may be able to attempt some bluff occasionally, but there is just too much on this board that beats you. On top of that, river check raise bluffs are not too common. I don't think you will be winning this more than 1 in 9 times.

Its 3 handed and people do wacky [censored] all the time plus any hand that was a pair+ an 8 (which was double gutted on the turn) and made 2 pair on the river could easily check raise here I think. I think 9 to 1 is more than enough to justify the call.

is it out of the question that villain has an angry k9 or a fun-loving 85?

IŽd call, but maybe you should have checked behind. A 6 or T seems pretty likely for him.

Folding here is terrible, IMO. 3betting is better than folding. But I call.
