On the turn I felt like a check behind was best. My hand is probably good but I felt like getting to a cheap showdown was important. Also if raised I would have to fold and didn't want to turn my hand into a bluff. |

Re: NL 50- Postflop line with 88
Bet/fold turn for a free sd. Charges draws on a very drawy board, he's not likely to raise worse and he'll probably call one more time with 7x.

snap call river imo. I usually bet the turn for about $7, I'm not look for a cheap showdown against a passive fish who will probably call down with tons of hands we beat on this board.

Yeah, call river. Sometimes it's Kxss or Qxss but more than 25% it's a whiffed draw or a worse pair.

Re: NL 50- Postflop line with 88
Bet this turn for about 7.50, he could easily have a 7, a straight draw, or a flush draw. As both of these missed, and it's unlikely he randomly hit a Q or K in his hand, this is an easy river call. Plus, you're getting 3:1 and we're definitely good more than 25% of the time
