Re: NL100 - pair+FD OOP, easy shove?
and im not saying shoving is bad, because its obv standard and +EV. but think about WHY we usually shove hands like this, and think about villains range. now think about what part of villains range is actually folding when you shove here in this particular spot. your hand, even without the draw does have decent showdown value

Re: NL100 - pair+FD OOP, easy shove?
We shove here because we never fold a blank turn but he might slow down when a spade/Jack/King hits. Also shoving gets more value out of draws and weaker made hands.

Also shoving gets more value out of draws and weaker made hands. [/ QUOTE ] how so? he snap folds weaker made hands, along with all non-nut draws. if we could see villains actual cards, what hands should we be shoving against? |
