$3.30 MTT - AQ behind Tight Weak and Unknown, M ~ 8
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (9 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)
BB (t3580) UTG (t3220) UTG+1 (t1275) MP1 (t2955) MP2 (t975) MP3 (t1360) CO (t4615) Hero (t1210) SB (t3530) Preflop: Hero is Button with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. 1 fold, UTG+1 calls t100, 2 folds, MP3 calls t100, 1 fold, Hero ??? MP3 just got to the table. Saw about 50 hands with UTG+1, playing about 20% preflop and raised once. Also a weird hand where he limped in mp with AK (blinds 25/50), everyone folded. I'm in the BB with 95o, a flop of QJJ and we checked it down. |

I don't understand pushing. A raise to 500 seems good to me.

What jc said. If he's playing twenty percent of his hands and limping almost all of those hands he's not playing out of the blinds you're ahead of his range, even if he limped AK once.

We can't raise here, cause we're pot comitted in case someone calls. I would raise 450-500 only with KK-AA in order to get some action.
There are already 350 chips in the pot, which is almost 1/3 of our stack, so just shove. |

If I'm raising putting in over 40% of my stack, I'm all-in.

Re: $3.30 MTT - AQ behind Tight Weak and Unknown, M ~ 8
(grunch) It sounds like you have no reasons that either would intentially slowplay a solid hand, although Mr. Weak-Tight may have something. Even weak-tight would tend to raise AA or KK, so AK would be the only hand that can reasonably be feared at this point.
My default play would be to raise to t500 (3xBB + limpers), with the intent on pushing on flop. |
