KJo bubble, raise/fold? open fold? ($225)
I just tried out a push equity calculator and got some results that I'd have thought were the opposite.
Hand1: I have 4300 in chips at the 100/200 level. chip leader to my left on button and has 5200. LB/BB have 2600/1370. I get KJo. Push Equity calculator says fold. Given this, is it an open fold, or a raise/fold? I mean we can't really fold to a push by the guy with 1370 chips, but maybe the other 2? |

Well,
the push equity calculators like sngWiz or SNGPT just tell you to push, fold or call. Everything in between is up to your poker skills You can still open for 500-600 with KJo and call a push by BB. |

Chipleader can push u with any 2 and you have to fold if you raise, so I'd say shove or fold.

[ QUOTE ]
Chipleader can push u with any 2 and you have to fold if you raise, so I'd say shove or fold. [/ QUOTE ] i think this is bad advise. Shoving that many chips into a chip leader is no way to play, and there is nothing wrong with raising it to t500 then folding to his shove, if he shoves. The truth is the other big stack will have to have a premium hand, unless he is a goober, because he will not want to risk tangling with another large stack. So if you raise and he shoves you can be pretty clear that he is not messing around. |
