Re: NCAA College Football Week 11 -- Rank\'em
If you think Illinois is a legitimate Top 16 team, then why drop OSU all the way to 12? I know you're mad, but that's just silly. I've actually got my Top 25 done already, but I'm going to wait for the Hawaii game to put up my rankings so I can do the Top 32.

Re: NCAA College Football Week 11 -- Rank\'em
Illinois is a legit top 20 team. The only losses they have had this year have been against a very good Mizzou team, a mediocre Iowa team on the road, and home vs. Michigan where penalities and Kyle Hudson shot them in the foot.
Wins over two top 5 teams (especially with the win @OSU) + win over a ranked Penn St. team earlier in the year is a solid resume for a top 20 team. I would say: 1) Oregon 2) LSU 3) Kansas 4) Oklahoma 5) Missouri 6) OSU 7) WVU 8) ASU 9) Georgia 10) VT 11) Florida 12) Clemson 13) Texas 14) USC 15) UVA 16) UK 17) BC 18) Tenn 19) ILL-INI 20) Cincy 21) PSU 22) Michigan 23) Wisconsin 24) Hawaii 25) Boise St. |

Re: NCAA College Football Week 11 -- Rank\'em
I'm an Ohio State fan, but I honestly think they should be fourth behind only Kansas, Oregon and LSU. They were the dominate team for most of the season and one loss shouldn't drop them all the way to 8th or 12th. For example, Oklahoma lost to a worse team and they have played some embarrassingly close games (Iowa State).
I think it is important to judge a team based on its body of work over the course of the season and I feel that if you look objectively at the teams in question then Ohio State should be no lower than fifth. |

[/ QUOTE ] I agree, but unfortunately, the voters are going to see a late season loss to an unranked team at home in a worse light than an early season loss by Oklahoma to Colorado, etc. I don't see OSU falling as far as USC did, but I think they will be in the 5-7 range. |

Re: NCAA College Football Week 11 -- Rank\'em
I love how Illinois has gained the adoration of the country solely for just this week. As a student who has been through the crap of the past few years, it is amusing that we are being used in arguments on how to rank teams considering that we were 2-10 last year... LOL
