Standard overpair question
Playing 1/2 on UB.
I am UTG+1 with KK, Villian is UTG. He has 350. I cover. Pre-flop he raises to 7. I go to 22 holding KK. Board comes QQJ rainbow. He open shoves. In this situation I would normally call but given the face he didnt play a pot in an hour I folded. How often does he have AA, AQ, JJ here? I dont think he made this move with AJ or an underpair. Thoughts? Am I just a pussy? |

Re: Standard overpair question
I'd call I think you're likely to see AK a fair bit of the time in this spot or an underpair. Is he really going to play a boat or trips that fast.

Re: Standard overpair question
Pretty easy fold without history.

Re: Standard overpair question
Easy fold without history, for sure. But whether or not he would shove with AQ, KQ, JJ, or QJ with a rainbow board like that in smaller stakes is questionable. Either play is acceptable, I would presume.

Re: Standard overpair question
Pretty weird play by him. I'd fold though. 100BBs I call.
