KK Against tight player
I've been sitting with this guy for a while and his stats say 16.9/13.5/4.6 over 90 hands. He has only been playing good hands so far.
I wanted to get HU with DaUser so I reraised from the BB. On the flop I made a potbet because I thought I had the best hand. Then I got an AI reraise... What to do in this spot against this kind of players? curious about your toughts Titan Poker Lucerne 0.01/0.02, hand converted by the iPoker Converter at Talking-Poker saw flop | saw showdown Button Pegasos77 ($1.95) SB calamar37 ($6.05) BB Hero ($6.01) UTG Supaboyx ($5.13) UTG+1 DaUser96 ($5.25) Preflop: Hero is in the BB with K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Supaboyx raises to 0.08, DaUser96 raises to 0.24, 2 folds, Hero raises to 0.70, 1 fold, DaUser96 calls 0.48. could you tell me why you would push this all day? I would like to know what your thoughts are.

Re: KK Against tight player
You're still sitting on an overpair. Only holdings that fit this pattern of betting and win are qq, AA, and 99. 33 doesn't make much sense.
You'll probably see something like AQ or JJ- more often than you think. Overpair here at this limit is probably good (yes table BI size does matter). On another note, increase the size of your PF raise to about a dollar. |

Re: KK Against tight player
I think pushing is correct because villain being a tight player is not going to flat call with aces here (I dont think) and its profitable to push all in because in the long run you will make a big enough profit for the times you have to pay off a set here. There is also the chance he is overplaying TPTK which isn't unheard of at microstakes.
Not sure if im entirely correct. Anyone willing to add to this. |

Re: KK Against tight player
Raise more pre flop to $0.85 or something, which makes his odds to call for set value a lot worse.

Re: KK Against tight player
He called preflop, so AA is not too likely.
Looks like something AQ or KQ would do, especially when considering the extremely low stakes. Also, AKs of spades could play that way but many would push that preflop too at NL2. Of course, occasionally you find QQ or even 99, but not often enough to justify fold or call. Push it. |

Re: KK Against tight player
villian has a aggression of 4.6. hes going to push any flush draw, J10, any queen, AA and QQ, thsi is speaking solely on the basis of what he would call ur pfr with
there are way more combinations of the latter hands as opposed to AA and QQ so we have to call. we win this hand way too many times in a showdown to give it up. I actually would beat him in the pot. if he turns up AA or QQ or thats varience. if he turn q9, Q3 or 93, i end up gettin my chat banned |

Re: KK Against tight player
I think we have to call as we only need 30% equity, but I think it's closer then most would think.
