8-8 final table UTG+2 Live tourney.
$2500 buy-in, live. Blinds are 6000-12000. We're 9 handed. The players are by and large outrageously bad. (God I love Lebanon)My stack is about 160,000. I never play tourneys, but had to enter this as the play is shockingly bad. Just curious what a standard line is with a hand like this at this stage in the game with a short stack. I raised to 40,000 and folded to a shove. Is that a horrific play?

What was your hand and position? Was there an ante? How many players left and how many places pay?
Is this in the country of Lebanon? I gather they have poker there? |

Right.
I think i already said, but 8-8. 9 players left. 9 spots pay. I was UTG+2. Yes, country of Lebanon. Yes, they have MTT's and SNG's at the Casino du Liban. God Damn are the games soft. |

how much did the guy shove for?
I mean I think it depends on the pot-odds you are getting and stuff like that. |

oh yeah, he had me covered.
I was comfortable with the fold. My question i guess is how to handle 8-8 in that situation. Limp, raise, muck etc... |

Re: 8-8 final table UTG+2 Live tourney.
Don't open Muck 88 with ~13bb. I'd probably open shove and put the most pressure on my opponents to call.

If there are antes then Shoving is def. your best option

Re: 8-8 final table UTG+2 Live tourney.
With antes it is a push. As played, it depends on the position and stack size of the reraiser and your read on him.
