So Nbc's replacing Leno with Conan in 2009 as part of a deal to keep Conan from joining a different network. So besides getting rid of Leno, we now don't have to wait till 12:30 to watch Conan and accidentally catch glimpses of the beginning of the Carson Daly show which inevitably puts me on tilt ruining everything I just watched before. All in all a great move by NBC.

I live under a large rock. It keeps me from viewing the late night show host ticker they have downtown.

I hope they don't have plans to move Carson Daly up to Conan's time. Actually that may be a good thing so they can actually see what kind of black hole his show is and cancel him.

On September 27, 2004, the 50th anniversary of The Tonight Show's debut, NBC announced that Jay Leno will be succeeded by Conan O'Brien in 2009. Leno explained that he did not want to see a repeat of the hard feelings and controversy that occurred when he was given the show over David Letterman following Carson's retirement.[1][2] However, Leno is now second-guessing his decision to retire in 2009.[3]
