2/5 live: Would you play this differently?
Played live last night in a very loose live 2/5 game. Pre-flop raises typically ranged from 20-35, and usually at least 4 players seeing a flop.
I'm dealt AJo in the BB with a stack of $750. There are two limpers, and the SB completes. I check. Flop: Ac Jc 4h SB: Checks_Folds Hero: Bets $20_Moves all in MP1 ($300): Raises to $100_Calls Button: Folds Villain has a set of 4s and takes down the pot. I don't think this hand would have been any different had I raised preflop considering how loose the table had been. However, any different strategy post-flop? |

Re: 2/5 live: Would you play this differently?
how deep is MP1?
does MP1 stack off easily? would MP1 be raising a lone A or draws? these are important things to know and make the hand very obvious depending on the answer. I'd generally stack off here though. I think his range is A2-AT, clubs, 44 given the information you've provided. |

Re: 2/5 live: Would you play this differently?
You'll see in my OP that he has $300 on the flop. So, after his raise to $100, he has another $200 behind. I asked him this specifically before moving in. Also, he was fairly new to the table at the time and had only played one hand so far without showing down, so, unfortunately, I couldn't really answer those other questions at the time. I too thought his range was just as stated above; however, it was just unfortunate he had a set.

Re: 2/5 live: Would you play this differently?
You played it fine. Give the game conditions he could have easily played A4 like this or a combo draw, or another ace.
Easy push to the raise, he only has 60bb. |

Against someone with 60xBB, this isn't even a question.
