Ramadan ends Oct. 12. More violence in Iraq?
US casualties were down for Sept. 2007. There's usually an increase in the violence in Iraq at the end of Ramadan. It will be interesting to see if the same holds true this year.

Re: Ramadan ends Oct. 12. More violence in Iraq?
From various reports I've heard, the 'legitimate resistance' has started to decide that the Islamist factions are even worse than the Americans and is fighting them. That might explain the drop. Having said that the graph they show looks pretty much random.
