Touch Children (or, recommend books to kids)
Hi. My name's Mr. Naked. I teach 150 ninth and tenth grade English students of varying interests and abilities. I'm making a recommended reading list for 'em.
What was your favorite book as a teenager? Do you have any suggestions for the books with the following themes: ninth: identity, self-concept, courage, communication tenth: archetypes, hero's journey, rites of passage, the search for wisdom Your recommendation could get a kid reading. The Outsiders Private Peaceful [/ QUOTE ] Outsiders is a good choice but they've all read it in middle school. I didn't know about Private Peaceful. Plot summary looks great for reluctant boys. Thanks! |
