Default 10/20 hand online - blind battle

I know that this is like Live Nits forum but I've taken a shine.

Five-handed game, Hero in BB.

Folded to SB who raises - very aggressive 40/30+ variety.

Hero calls in BB with 8c 6s

Flop Kc 7h 8h.

SB bets, Hero calls.

Turn Kc 7h 8h 9h

SB bets, Hero raises, SB calls.

River Kc 7h 8h 9h Th

SB checks, Hero bets...

Turn is a free showdown play. River is a [censored] it, valuetown play.

Comments appreciated.

Why not raise the flop?

I hate the turn raise because there are like 5 billion ways for him to have a worse hand and 3bet you. I'd raise flop but if I just called then I would call down after this turn card.

River of course is a value bet. If he has a J oh well, I can't imagine him checking any heart.

sounds good to me. We're massively ahead of SBs range. If he wants to 3 bet with a worse hand, that's fine with me. I'm showing down, and I'm gonna make sure he pays the max with his A2, Q4, etc.

If we think villain will fire on basically every river then I like just calling down better though. The reason is that on this board, there aren't that many hands that we want to fold that will fold, and they make up a small % of his range.

I agree with Howmany here. Raise the flop if you want, but don't raise *that* turn card. Your equity isn't very good and you reopen the betting. Most of the time you are 3bet you are beat, but you'll have to peel with your four straight and then you'll call a bunch of rivers anyway in case the guy is getting out of line but most of the time you'll see a pair of kings or better.

I agree w/ Howmany as well. If the turn card were more brickish then I like this line. But calling down after seeing this turn card seems best.
