Re: 2-4 HU - C/R\'ed river
looks like you're toast
btw, i bet the turn heads up, alot of ppl will play AXs (obv your ace is good!) like this (c/c down all 3) so you can get a ton of points there. on the river he's telling you he has trips, some people assume this is him pushing you off a chop. its not! I'd fold. Also, weirdly once you're counterfeited with kicker play, you lose alot of value in a bet, unless you think he'll call with 7x. (Since he probably would 3bet the good mid pairs like 88 or so, ace splits, and 9x wins...) I sometimes do weird things like bet 12 here on the river so that ten high calls. as is I think you should fold. |

Re: 2-4 HU - C/R\'ed river
ok I guess this isn't really interesting (i.e. fold)
I was villain -With what hands do you take my line with? -Do you ever take this line as a bluff? -Which hands are you just leading river with rather than trying to c/r? |

Re: 2-4 HU - C/R\'ed river
vs. an unknown I prefer a call here.
When he checks turn to you his range is very wide, 7, [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]s, Ax, str8 draws, etc. Trips is a tiny part of it. When he checks river its an even smaller part as many ppl aren't good enough to dbl check it to you. Now he CR river so the question is what % of the time does he bluff all his non-trips hands vs. what % of the time does he play trips like that. Given your line looks FOS and getting 5-3 I call. |

[/ QUOTE ] Honestly, your line makes no sense. I can't find a single hand beating AJ that plays this way. It actually looks like you smelled weakness and check/raise bluffed the river. |
