Bots
What exactly are these?
I have heard people refer to bots before, and I was wondering if it was the poker company who uses these. |

Re: Bots
They're apocryphal programs someone might write to play poker automatically.
I've never heard of anyone getting caught doing this, but I have heard of accounts being suspended for bot-like play. Needless to say, other site users would not like to play automated opponents, so the sites have a strong motive to root them out. They also have powerful tools to analyze playing patterns and potentially recognize automated play. |

Re: Bots
... and to the micro limit nits, a bot is somebody that just doesn't abuse the chatter box and concentrates on his play rather than looking for the all-in button every other hand.
