Re: i think i found a sweet way in foriegn currency
tdameritrade list the yield (TTM) of FXB CurrencyShares British Pound Sterling Trust as 4.13%.
Does anyone know if this is like a dividend or is this interest paid to you like like a money market account. Is owning FXB like simply owning pounds sterling, or do you receive interest on your holding like a money market account? |

Re: i think i found a sweet way in foriegn currency
so the dividend is going to be taxed as short term income, and then if you sell FXB and make a profit, you are also going to be taxed on it? sooo.... is it better to go with everbank or FXB?

[/ QUOTE ] I meant buy, for example, a European index fund from a European fund company. Obviously the fund is denominated in EUR and will earn more long-term than a EUR savings account equivalent. |
