recently, i have been trying to put at least 45 minutes of cardio in every day for calorie burning reasons. however, after a month of this my legs are really starting to kill... i don't want to hurt myself / take myself out of commission / or, most likely, make myself sore enough that i get out of the habit of exercising again and thus get off the losing weight track i've been on.
any recommendations on how to keep the calorie burning up but the leg muscle stress down? |

Take days off? You will get to where you are hurting your legs more with the overwork than helping them.

Jump rope, shadowbox, calisthenics, get a couple of sticks and practice stickfighting drills. Nunchaku drills are great for cardio if they're still legal anywhere.

Running six days a week is a lot on its own. Are you training for something?
To add to the list, rowing. You don't need to run to provide a nice aerobic stress. Any sort of intervals, push-ups, pull-ups, etc. Likewise weight lifting circuits... |
