Villain had r/r on the turn in a previous hand which made me fold my overpair (KK) This is partly why I only called here. It's a relatively safe board with only straight draws. 78 already got there and everything else is a gutshot (amirite?) I make this call because of the last hand where he showed aggression and got me to fold. I dont want to 4bet here because if he is showing aggresion due to knowing our past then i'm folding out worst hands. |

Re: NL 50 flopped a set
I would raise to 25 or so, and go all in on the Turn. If he comes over the top get it in. You want to get all the money you can in now. Many ugly turn cards can come and give him a str8 or kill the action.

Re: NL 50 flopped a set
Call and crai on turn sounds good to me. that's a dry flop, but he's still going to bet overpairs fearing that you have a draw or 5 outs.

Re: NL 50 flopped a set
I really prefer coming over the top on the flop.
If he has an overpair or TP and an overcard comes on the Turn he is probably checking behind. And folding to a River bet. If he has an overpair or TP and no overcard comes he will maybe check behind for pot control and you will want to hang yourself as you will have to overbet to get all the money in. my 2 cents |

Re: NL 50 flopped a set
Is donking this flop the best play? (instead of a c/r)

Re: NL 50 flopped a set
I'd CR flop here and not bet out but if you have a read that he raises bets on the flop often it's not such a bad move.
I'd RR on the flop. Is he likely to get it in with an overpair, AT, T9? |

Re: NL 50 flopped a set
Why is C/R superior to B/3Bet?
Not saying B/3B is better, just wanna learn |

Why is C/R superior to B/3Bet? Not saying B/3B is better, just wanna learn [/ QUOTE ] check raisiung the turn allows him to fire another bet with air or a marginal made hand betting for value/protection. Bet 3 bet on the flop should be scary to him and he should fold all but his strongest hands, wouldnt worry about letting him draw on this board. |
