$2/$4, Call The Huge Overbet?
Opponent was running 25/17/4 over 50 hands. We had not tangled yet, and I had not seen him do anything like this over those 50 hands.
I called the flop raise because I felt that the turn would greatly clarify how the hand should be played. There are a lot of horrible cards and some pretty good ones. I planned on check calling or checkraising once i saw the blank turn, but... Re: $2/$4, Call The Huge Overbet?
So many turn cards will suck and confuse you, and bottom two pair is never that strong but ahead enough of his range on the flop, so I bomb away the flop.
As played you gotta call he has draws too much. |

Re: $2/$4, Call The Huge Overbet?
The problem is that I'm slightly ahead of a lot of hands and way behind a few on the flop. If the turn comes as a blank, (like 2s) then I'm very far ahead a lot of his hands. Of course, his overbet of 2.5 times the pot freaked me out and I didn't know what to do.

Re: $2/$4, Call The Huge Overbet?
I think you have a point, I didn't look at the action that closely and realize someone else minraised and you donked the flop.
I think you should fold preflop also (or 3-bet,) you're OOP with a 3-gapper, I'd only call if the CO was a really bad fish. On the flop, I'd bet pot, I feel bottom two is really vulnerable. I might check/raise the CO minraiser to try to shut out the BB as well. I think you played it fine by calling the flop now that I think about it more, since it's more like a limped pot than a raised pot and getting all in w/ bottom two in a limped pot almost always means you're getting owned. I call the turn overbet though, I feel this is mostly a draw, sometimes it's a bad player who has something like top two who doesn't want you to draw. |

It looks like he is defending an overpair to me. Call. I don't like the pf call though.
