So I had to replace my phone a few days ago and as such I've lost all my numbers. I thought this would be okay to fix as I went along but when I woke up today I found about 5 messages from numbers I didn't recognize. If you have my number please PM or text or AIM me yours. Or whatever.

They should be able to transfer your old numbers to your new phone very easily...unless of course, you lost your old phone.

Most numbers are stored on SIM cards nowadays.

If you still have your phone, bring it to a wireless store and have them try to suck the phone numbers out. (even if the phone doesn't work) I had a phone get ruined by water, wouldn't power up for me, but they were able to turn it on and get the numbers out at the store.

Hmm, good thinking. The numbers weren't on the SIM. Not sure if bringing them to the store will help.

Just make your assistant transfer them to the new phone.

[ QUOTE ]
Most numbers are stored on SIM cards nowadays. [/ QUOTE ] Only on GSM carriers, and there is space on a SIM card for alot of numbers, but the phone itself can also store numbers and in many cases the phone defaults to saving to internal memory instead of the sim card. If the phone is dead it's unlikely the carrier can really help you out, you might want to search around and see what kind of service menus you can access depending on your problem. |
