Most efficient method of becoming proficient in HU TRN?

Hi all,

I haven't played much HU before, but I've decided to branch out a little as my local Casino (Crown in Melbourne) is running a NL HE HU tournament in a month.

My question is what is the best method to get good really quickly with a tournament in mind. Should I primarily play SnG or do you think playing cash games deeper stacked against stronger opponents would be wiser.

Has anyone played a Live HU Tourney before, even better if it was at Crown. What sort of calibre are the players you encountered?

So far (2 days) I've played 50 HU SnG's at the $6 and $11 levels and my basic plan is to try and play 50 at each level up to the 55's and attain an ROI of 10% or better repeating the level again if I don't achieve this number. I would like to get to the 115's, but I only have a month, so I have to be realistic.
