25/50 w/ a set
Only sitting because I thought there were >2 soft spots in the game. Plus Im stuck a lot.
Villain in this hand is one of those soft spots: 23/10/0.86 over 300 hands. His aggression ramps up on all streets and is highest on the river. He is a loser in my databases. In this hand I'd like thoughts on my turn and river plays. I'll chime in shortly but I don't think I played this hand too well. Re: 25/50 w/ a set
Disclaimer - Never played 25/50 and playing like crap lately at all levels.
Call the river. You've got a villian that gets more aggro on the end. Could well be a blusted flush draw/combo draw, AQ/A8d. |

Re: 25/50 w/ a set
It seems like a fairly easy call to me. On such a coordinated board I'd think any hand that's beating you would put in a raise at some point, especially on the flop when there are two people left to act behind him. I think betting the turn is standard, and again I don't see him just calling with a better hand. The river is a blank so if you thought you were ahead I don't know why you'd be second guessing yourself just because he shoves. All the draws missed and he could easily being doing it with 2 pair or a busted draw.

Re: 25/50 w/ a set
Wow I really feel that you are beat here, I think it would have been a lot better to check the turn because you would know a lot more of where you are at against this .86 AF villain. If he had the straight he would bet becasue he would be scared of the flush and would most likly check if he had the draw or a pair.
I cant fold sets so I am calling in that spot, but you are deffinitly beat. |

Re: 25/50 w/ a set
1. Call River
2. Stack AQ 3. Profit If his aggression ramps up, and he's the mark in this game I can't find a fold getting 2:1. |

Re: 25/50 w/ a set
Way above my league, but I'd bet closer to pot on turn. River I think if you induce a bluff by checking you must call it but you won't be good much more often than the required 33% of the time.

Re: 25/50 w/ a set
seems very unlikely he would slowplay the straight given how drawhappy the board is, same goes for QQ, and AA

Re: 25/50 w/ a set
I've never played anywhere close to this high, but from what I gather on higher stakes hands I've read, it's a call.
