($215) Call the possible resteal w/ A7o?
Villain is lamp3122. I know him from SNGs and he's an excellent player, and I assume much more experienced than me in MTTs. This may be simple, I'm not sure, but I know people resteal much wider in MTTs than SNGs (which I'm used to). Should I call this?

Re: ($215) Call the possible resteal w/ A7o?
I think this is about as tight a restealing range as you can put villain on in a vacuum:
equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 37.568% 32.08% 05.48% 1265764788 216338310.00 { A7o } Hand 1: 62.432% 56.95% 05.48% 2246707008 216338310.00 { 22+, A5s+, KTs+, QJs, JTs, 98s, A6o+ } You're getting 1.57:1 pot odds, and getting 1.67:1 odds on the call. This is pretty close, odds-wise. He'll probably try this with some crappier stuff as well a percentage of the time, especially if you've been pretty active. Another factor: if you call and lose, you're down to ~16 BBs. Sucks to steal with that stack, but ideal for restealing. If you fold, you still have 27 BBs, room for raising and folding. Table conditions don't seem ideal for stealing a lot (big stack on your direct left, aggressive short/midstack on his left). Etc etc. Anyway, it's close |

I think this is call. I think Soulmans range is too tight. I find it tough to believe he will shove A5s and not A2s here also he will have complete junk here some percent of the time. That being said, you should really know what you are doing before you raise.
